X-ray & NMT Certificates and Permits

Under the Radiologic Technology Act (X-ray), the Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) Certifies or Permits physicians, chiropractors, podiatrists, technologists, technicians and physician assistants (PA) who use X-ray machines on human beings, and administers exams to physicians, technologists, PAs and technicians for X-ray certification & permitting.

Additionally, under the laws pertaining to Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT), the RHB Certifies individuals to use and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Medical Physicist Authorizations

Under the Radiation Control Law, the RHB also reviews applications and issues authorizations for Mammography Medical Physicists, Therapeutic Calibration Physicists, and Therapeutic Survey Physicists.
